I can't wait...

We have this great plan...

We are going to take down the pool table in the game room currently and put two 6 or 8 foot tables up to be my scrapbook area in a L shape. I am so excited. This means I can really organize everything and leave it set out all the time. Of course this means we have to really call the guy to take down the table and then set up my stuff but I can't wait. I am almost a year behind in scrapbooking again. I have done from 2007 up until May 2010 so I need to get back to doing it.

Also still in this room with be the gaming tv and gaming consoles which will mean Dusty and I will be together more kind of by default but that is ok...Right?

I know Jaiden is going to want to play in there while I am working on my stuff which I already have a plan for...I am going to set up a tray table like the ones you eat dinner on ya know and let him color with me and use his OWN stickers while I do my own stuff. I know I won't be able to spend a lot of time working on this at home but even if I get one page or even one layout done a week or even a month that is better than nothing.

Well Jaiden is now THREE...Can you believe it? We can hardly believe it ourselves. We had his third birthday party here at the house last weekend and everything went great.

I am just getting over being sick as well as Jaiden. I think Dusty finally got our sickness and is dealing with that right now.

I am still working for ILB in Riverside and Dusty is still working for SCE.

He just accepted a new job title with them which he is to start at the end of the month so we shall see how that goes.

Christmas was great with family and friends. We got to spend Xmas eve with just my dad and brother and his Fiance - Yes he finally asked Kristina the big question and she said YES!! Then on Christmas day we had breakfast at our house and then went to Dustys moms house for dinner and gifts. It was a nice day all the way around.

Looking ahead we don't have much planned, with Dusty starting the new job we won't be able to take much time off at first which is fine we will just have weekend plans which is fine with us.

Huge Milestone

I am ten pounds lighter than when Dusty and I got married - I am so happy and excited. I have lost over 38 pounds since May 2010 and I have about 34 more to go to be back to healthy and happy but slow and steady wins the race!

Me yes me, Heather, LOVES to work out now - I hit the gym almost everyday of the work week and then on the weekends I walk/jog with Jaiden -

I love how I feel, I love how I look

and for my 25th birthday 10-1-10 Dusty and I are going on a cruise.

I have been thinking a lot lately about a lot of things...Sounds funny I know but that is one of the reasons I love this blog, I can get my thoughts out on paper (well at least in front of me sort of) and some how it always makes me feel better.

Jaiden is growing up WAY to fast. Now when I ask him to do something he tells me, "Mommy, just one minute." Yes it is cute but I am sure he really understands what that means because he wants to finish whatever he is doing and then we can go or do what we need to do. Very sad to see that he is almost 3 and growing up so much.

Work is work and of course there is not much right now with the way the economy is that I can do about that. I just have to come to realize that it takes more to be negative than it does to be positive, so I try and do my best and chuck my tired unhappy attitude at the door and get done what I need to get done during my 8 hours here at this desk.

Marriage is WORK. No one ever told me it was going to be easy so I never thought that; but it is a lot of work to remain calm in all parts of a marriage and a family. Marriage is everything I wanted it to be and more, I love Dusty with all of my heart and I am so glad we are together each and every day of our lives and if we go a day without seeing each other because of work or other things it just seems odd, but we are two different people and we do have some different views on things! Just workin thru it. We will make it, I am not worried just takes time.

Family - now that is a whole different subject. I love our family of 3. Do I want one day for it to be a family of 4 - YES I do - is it time right now, only God knows that and when it is His time it will be right. I love that Dusty and I have created such an amazing little guy in Jaiden. He does have parts of both of us that is for sure. I love to plan things for the three of us to do, along with other family or even alone. We are going camping this weekend with Dusty's sister and her family and I can not wait. Jaiden loves to be with his cousins. On the other side of that, I love to do things just the 3 of us. I know Jaiden loves to spend time with mommy and daddy.

Money - WOW where do I begin. I truly believe that it is the root of all evil. No matter what you do, you always NEED it for the most part. The only thing that is really free to do is breathe air. Even taking Jaiden to the park costs us gas to get there, ya know what I mean. We do the best we can with what we have and we will make it, I just hate that everything we need or want costs us money. And then of course there are the unexpected items that come up that you have to take care also.

Friends. That is something that I am so incredibly THANKFUL for. I would not ask for better friends. I have the most amazing best friend in the world. We talk almost every day and I would not change that for the world. I know that I can turn to her for anything. I am so thankful that God has given me the friends that I have in my life. At one point I never really knew why I was in the places I am until I made a friend or someone or something impacted my life and then it hit me, THIS is why God has me here. I have met great friends from work, which as you all know is a place I do not want to be. I am so thankful that God placed me in the building for this time in my life. It is amazing the people that have come in and out of my life just because of work. I know that the two friends I have in my life now because of work are amazing. We recently spent a weekend in Vegas together and it was such a great trip. No stress, no fighting, no arguing. Overall it was just a nice trip. I know that God will take care of me and the people that he brings in and out of my life and truly I am so blessed.

All in all I have nothing to complain about in my life. I love my family and my friends and I am SO thankful to have a job even if it is not one that I really care for at the present time in my life. I know like I said there is a reason I am here and even if I don't know why now, God does and that is all that matters.

Growing Up and Lives Changing

Growing up -

Just seeing those two words makes me realize it is so true - right in front of my eyes

Jaiden is two and half years old - I mean really where did the past two and a half years go?

He is walking and talking and making full sentences and asking questions and of course telling Daddy and I what to do.

I never would have imagined two and a half years ago even a year ago, Jaiden would be saying I miss you on the phone when I am working late or tell me to be happy not mad when I get upset about small things.

I love his innocence and the way he tells me how the world works in the mind of a two and half year old - it is great

Of course I don't remember being two and a half so I love seeing it all thru his eyes and thru his words.

I love when he asks us to build 'Big Castles" out of his Lego's and of course I love that he would be content to only eat cereal each and every day for all of his meals if I would let him - He gets excited over the smallest things and I love that - he loves to take his yummy vitamins each night and he loves to take a bath and get clean. He also loves Milk and Water - not really juice (every once in awhile).

I love that he is at a daycare that he enjoys being at each day, and I am so thankful for his daycare provider also.

Looking back over the past two and a half years, it has been great. I love being a mom more than anything else.

Work is going OK

That is all I can say right now

A guy that works for us is leaving on Friday and it is going to be SO hard for me to see him go. He has been there since before I started and when I started working there he took me under his wing and helped me to learn everything that was expected of me - Such a great help

I know for sure I will be crying come Friday afternoon.

We went to lunch today with him and I was crying at lunch - such an emotional mess, I am.

I just wish people never had to leave because it is so hard to more on without them.

Jimmie David - My Little Nephew turns ONE

Potty Trained

Jaiden is FINALLY potty trained. He has had one whole week, seven days without ANY accidents. This rocks. I am so happy to hear Jaiden come get me and say, "I need to go potty, hurry mommy."

No more pull up for day times. He can take a nap and be dry and only goes once or twice in the night. I am so happy

Contentment

I have two reasons for writing this blog about contentment.

con·tent·ment –noun - the state of being contented; satisfaction; ease of mind

My first reason is my Daily Devotions, I get from Leah Evaschuk, each and every morning in my emails.

The second reason is this is something that I am dealing with.

Here is Leah's Daily Devotion on this:
"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in and and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength." Colossians 4:12-13
My Thoughts: Being content is a battle isn't it? Sometimes we say "Oh when this happens I will be content, oh when we get this bill paid then I will be content, oh when I get this item I will be content." That's not being content. It is possible to be content regardless of what you have or what you have achieved. It is possible to have all or nothing and your contentment still remain the same. Contentment doesn't come with what you have, if you always desire something then you will never be content, and not being content stirs up an unsettling soul. The ability to not be content leaves rooms for idols, and in turn only causes destruction. Not searching or finding contentment will make your heart heavy and it will be so hard to see all the beauty that you do have in your life. The secret to contentment is trusting God.
Pray & Reflect: What do you do to insure your contentment in your life? What could you do better? How are you trusting God in your life? Pray for these things, pray for each other, pray that we all may be content in every situation not asking for more, but say "thank you thank you Lord for what you have given"
I hope all of you have a wonderfully blessed day! I challenge you today to find contentment, when you start to say "oh if only I had, or I wish" take a step back and say "No, THANK YOU Lord for all you have provided, I will trust you, for you know my needs, you will never forsake me."

This was the email I got from Leah on Wednesday of this week, and it really hit me. I found myself through out the day saying, "Thank you Lord for all you have provdied for me and I am content."

It is so true that so many people go thru life each and every day saying, "I would be perfectly content if I just had this or that."

One of those persons is ME. I really needed this Daily from Leah to show me that there are so many things I already have in my life that I need to be content about. The life and love I have is enough to allow me to be content in this world. All the other things are just material items.

More than anything this post was just for me to share with you the great work one daily devotion has done in my life in just the past few days.

Look in your life and see all the things you already have that make your life content. Thank God each and every day for those things. We all have needs and God will provide.

In the beginning of May I, Heather, started Weight Watchers and so far as of today July 9, 2010 I have lost over 20 pounds.

Jaiden is 2 1/2 and he is almost fully potty trained. He maybe has one accident a week which is good, I think.

Dusty is still working in Redlands for Edison. He got his previous months stats and they are great. Good Job Babe!

Jaiden and a big boy shower

Last night Jaiden took a big boy shower all by himself. Of course we were standing there and yes we did wash him but he washed himself off and he just loved it - we have the shower that the handle can come off and he was holding it and then wanted to shower off the walls and tile - it was the cutest thing ever - yes being the picture freak that I am, I took pictures - not to post on here I might get in trouble for child porn or something (ok not really but still I am sure he wouldn't like me posting them when he gets older, so I won't - or maybe I will just crop them so you all can see how happy he is) It was a great night and you should hear him try to say shower he says it showper - sooooo cute!

I love shopping online - so easy to just get what you want and pay for it the only bad thing is shipping but oh well most of the time I wait for an email and get a discount or free shipping so it makes no difference. Of course clothes are the only hard thing to buy online since I am a big fan or trying stuff on!

This is all coming from the fact that I got Dusty TWO new shirts from Famous today. He never wants to get new clothes he always says just spend it on Jaiden so it was nice to get him something for once.

And of course I had to get something too so I got myself a Jacket!

First off I am not saying I don't care and I am not guilty of this but at the same time GEEZ come on...

Why do people, anyone in the world, care what others are doing or how they dress how what political party they are a part of? Now I know what people are going to say - I know that is the way the world works and that is how it have been for years but Geez really - people feel like they need to knock people down to make themselves feel better?

I am just as guilty as the next person who has thought about someone else and what theya re wearing or not wearing for that matter but now I have started to think about it and I am just so frustrated about it...

If I do not have a size 2 body and do not want to wear a certain style of clothing it has nothing to do with what type of person I am.

If I am a Democrat and you are a Republican it does not mean we can not be friends (happens all the time - my best friend and I are different and still get along)

If you make a ton of money a year and I don't, don't rub it in my face or think you are better than me. I might love my love paying job -

None of the above statements are true or false about my PERSONALLY I am just saying in general. Except for the part about my my friend and I....

Really take time to think about how much you think about so and so wearing this or eating that or working there and just let it go. Think about yourself and your own life and Go Forward and Praise GOD in all that you do.

First off I am not even looking for anyone to really answer this, I am just writing to write...

WHY do people feel like they can just have things handed to them and not really work for things? I get so frustrated when people go through life thinking that this world and everyone else the know owe them something? Hello people everyone else works (either at work or at home - home probably being hard with kids) also and puts in their fair share into this world and you people walk around like because of your age or your previous ways in life you are owed soemthing and this really upsets me....Just grow up (even though you should have done that a long time ago) and realize that this world does not OWE you anything, if you want something you need to work for it or save for it - it is not a free world...

Tonight we went to Chuck E Cheese with Dusty's sister and his mom and our two nephews John and Jimmie. It was a lot of fun. Jaiden hated the rides that moved until we went on a ride with John that did move and John made him seem ok about it. Jaiden loved putting the tokens in the machine then he didn't want to finish the game just wanted to put the token in and walk away, so that left Dusty and I to play the games.

Well tonight was Jaiden's 2nd Halloween and it was a great night. He ws Thomas the Tank Engine. John his cousin was Woody and his other cousin Jimmie was a monkey. We went and saw our friends Patty and Dave and then we went trick or treating with John, Jimmie, Nicole, Dusty, My mom, Me, and Lisa. It was a great night and Jaiden did get some ok candy that I might let him eat. See the picture below.

Pumpkin Patch 2009

We took Jaiden to the pumpkin patch in Yucaipa and we had a ton of fun!

He was not in the best of moods but once we set him down with the pumpkins he was in love, he actually grabbed a pumpkin and threw it on the ground and I wanted to stop him, really I did, but he was just smiling so big I could not stop him. I had to let him throw it so I could get some good pictures and we did. We had a ton of fun and we are going to carve Thomas the Train into his pumpkin. Last year we did the paint with his hands and this year we are really going to do a pumpkin for him. So we shall see how it goes. Pictures to follow!

Women of Faith

This past weekend I went to Women of Faith with Gina (my best friend) Renee (Gina's mom) and Aline (Gina's Grandma) and let me tell you I had the best time. I think that Women of Faith is a great thing for all women. It is just a chance to hang out with around 15,000 women in the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA and laugh and sing songs and watch concerts and just listen to stories about different women's lives regarding what God has done for them. I got to go this year by chance but I am hoping in the future I can go each year because this is something I really enjoyed!

Fires!!

Well the Oak Glen fire started on Sunday and we could have had issues from that so Dusty and I stayed home from work on Monday to pack up some things, then Monday afternoon a new fire broke out in Yucaipa and we had to be mandatory evacuated Monday night at around 8pm - it was very scary to think that we might not have a house to go back too. Dusty and I and all the family and animals ended up in different places which is very scary but we are going to be ok I am sure. Still as I sit here and type this I do not know if we have a house I will know something hopefully today. Please pray for us and all of the people around us and also all of the fire fighters and police working on this.

Beating and Killing Children

I am just sick from hearing about this - as I am driving to work this morning I hear on 99.1 of a man that is in jail on murder charges and being sentenced soon for killing his girlfriends 15 month old daugher and she helped him and plead guilty to it and is only getting 7 years in prison and this is the second time the guy has done this, this one was five years ago and he also did it two years ago with another girlfriend and about 15 month old girl - it just makes me sick to think that a mother could allow some man to do this to their child and in the same breath HELP THEM to do it...Are you kidding me? I mean really I know that there are messed up people out there but that is just as sick as you can be.

Why is all the news you hear about these days bad? I want to turn on NBC 4 and hear about something good about how children across the US are being adopted to great homes or pets being adopted to great back yards - I know it all seems small but it is so sad and I just hate the sadness we see here and around the world.

Well we went to Vegas this past weekend with Dusty's cousins from Missouri. We had a blast, we left on Thursday and came back on Sunday. It is always great to see family that lives that far away and of course we spent some money, did not win anything but just had a good time - And we are going back in August for a friends 21st birthday!

So last night after Jaiden's bath, he was sitting on the bed reading his Thomas book and not drinking his milk, by the way, and this is a board book, like the thick pages - well he opens it to the first page which is all about Thomas and points right to his big blue Train says "Thomas" I was so happy I said "You are right that is Thomas" and then we went on to the other two pages and read about Harvey and Percy, he did try to say those but they did not come out as clear as Thomas did. So I am so tired and just wondering...Is it Friday yet? I know I know it is really only Tuesday but I mean come on. Ok so nothing really new Dusty started his new job on Monday and so far he said it is going good which is nice to hear for a change since meter reader was ya know sucky LOL well other than that I am just here at work. I have to go and get my retainer tomorrow a nice new 200 dollar retainer for my perfect teeth LOL - I know I should have worn it and I would not have needed to spend the money but that is my own fault huh? Oh well - And Jaiden will soon be 18 months old and is still getting some teeth and we have to take him to the dr on 7-10-09 I think for his 18 month check up hard to believe that he is already 18 months old. Well that is all for now, just wanted to complain that I am tired and it is only Tuesday!

Really Not Much

There is not really much going on. I just have been hanging out and spending time with friends and such. Yes I am still at work of course - I have been going to the gym at night, I am so tired but I know it will pay off in the end. Jaiden is getting so big I can not believe it, he is almost 18 months old and I can not believe it. I have been reading the Twilight serious and OMG it is so good. I am on book #2 which is very good, no I have not see the movie yet but I will watch them after I am all done reading the series. Thanks Amber and Robyn for getting me hooked LOL - Well just wanted to say yes we are still here and still alive. Dusty got a new job within SCE and now he is going to be a groundman which is that same pay but has a lot of overtime options so that rocks! Well I am sure I will be back can't promise when...

A Mom ~ Why?

I was recently asked why I wanted to be a mom and how I deceided to have Jaiden - Really that is no answer I have for that. I mean I have felt like since the time I was old enough to know about kids that I wanted kids and I knew I was meant to be a mom - I mean now that I have Jaiden there is no way that I can imgaine it any other way, I just know that I am meant to be here on this earth and also I am here to create a live or lives to carry on our lives and our legacy for the future. I think why you want to be a mom is something that you can not explain or someone can not understand that does not have kids!

Recently also I was asked how I let Jaiden cry it out. It is called the cry it out method CIO - Well I know that if after his bath he is dry and clean and fed and has a clean diaper then he is ok and I just put him to bed wide awake and he soothes himself to sleep and if he does cry I will let him cry, not for more than aobut 10 or 15 mins then I will go and get him. Well I bring this up because I was told at the time that letting Jaiden CIO meant that he was going to be in insecure child - yet I can walk out of the room and he does not cry for me he knows that I will be back - I was told that me not going into get him when he is crying is going to cause problems between he and I - well I do not think that is the case right now or in the future - I know I need to get off my soap box here but really each parent is just trying to do right by the kids don't tell me that what I am choosing to do with my son is wrong - it is not putting him in any danger or hurting him in anyway. Each parent is going to do what they feel is right and I am totally ok with that, whatever works for you but please don't knock me down for what I feel is right!!

Also I have been told that oh I don't want to have kids right now because I love my freedom and don't want to loose it. You only loose your freedom if you allow yourself too! I mean really I think that you have children and you make them work around your life and have them change and have them grow up to fit your life, do I mean staying out til 2 am at a bar with them no I don't but I don't think that you need to set certain times for naps and set certain bed times - I have been critized for the times I put Jaiden to bed after 8pm or closer to 9pm - does it seem like he is unhappy to you? No I don't think so - I am just saying you don't have to loose your freedom you can have kids and let them become a part of your life and you really don't have to change your life - I know that is so hard for some people to realize and agree with which is fine we don't all have to agree that is totally fine but please atleast think about what I am saying.

I was so taken back this morning, after I dropped Jaiden off at daycare I knew I had a few extra minutes to get to the bank and deposit the check for my Jeep payment which is right next to the McDonalds in town. I was so taken back that the line for the drive thru at 6:10am was so long I mean like 5 or 6 cars deep. Are you kidding me right now. Really? That many people need either coffee or fast food that early in the morning? That is just gross - I know I know this coming from the person that just loves fast food but I want you to know it has been over a month since I have had anything super greasy or bad - I have been eating so good and making a ton of better choices if I do go out to eat but it for sure is not at the bad places - it is at the places that serve better quality food ! Ok Ok I am done now I just had to share the fast that I was so taken back at the amount of people that early in the morning needed something. LOL

California Adventure

On Saturday we took Jaiden to California Adventure at Disneyland. He loved it for sure. It was so much fun for him to just get out and run around and see all of the Disney things again. Dusty and I most certainly did not let Jaiden try Sprite for the first time, since it was clear soda. He almost threw it up, and he had the funniest face in the entire world. Needless to say I did not do that and he did not like it.

I did not buy Jaiden more bath toys at Disneyland on Saturday that he did not need.

I did not buy the family stickers of all of us to put on my car at Disneyland, that for sure was not me.

I did not buy a pizza for $32.00 at Disneyland for us to eat dinner with, for sure I did not do that one.

I did not let Jaiden suck on the table at Disneyland after I wiped it off since he is was quiet for a minute that was not me.

I did not cut Jaiden's ear during swimming lessons on Saturday with my HUGE wedding ring, nope not me!

I did not spend all Friday afternoon and Sunday evening downloading songs on my ipod for work...again not me.

Ok you get the point. These are all real things that I did , but you say its not you...According to MckMama it is a good way to get it all out there and feel better! I love this.

I had the best Friday night in a long time. I hung out nad had SUSHI my favorite with Robyn, she is an old friend from work, she has a new job now so we don't see much of each other anymore but it sure was nice to catch up and hang out. It was just a girl trip. We went to Sushi at Niko Niko in Redlands and then we just sat and talked and talked and talked for over 5 hours, yes I said 5 hours. I know crazy huh? Well after that I just came home and now I am on here. Oh also today I got tickets to the 99.1 big 3-0 show they are having in July for the radio turning 30 years old I know the reasoning sounds dumb it sure does offer a lot of people and they were not bad seats that I got and we are only 8 rows up from the front can not get much better than in the pit which I know Dusty would not have wanted so I saved some money there. Well tomorrow we are going to Disney's California Adventure with Jaiden after his 2nd swim lesson in the morning. It should be fun I will try and post pictures later.

I did not try and sleep in on Sunday and not hear Jaiden on purpose to get an extra 15 minutes of sleep. I know I know I would never really do that. I did not enjoy my sushi dinner with friends and my dear husband on Saturday at all. Really never enjoy such a thing. I did not eat a fried chicken sandwich and a small piece of a cookie and creme bar ( on a diet here ) when Dusty and I went to dinner with Gina and David on Friday night. I would never eat those things.

Ok so there it is. My very first Not Me from this weekend. MckMama does this every Monday and I think I might start doing it too!

Mother's Day 2009

So yesterday was Mother's Day and Dusty and Jaiden got me some roses and also a card that was so sweet it made me really think. Also mother's day really makes me think that each and everyday we should love and take care of our moms and the same for father's day and so on. I know I know I do love one day where everyone wishes me well and all but still I do think it is a little weird that it is just one whole day each year. Does that mean that we love them less the other 364 days of the year. I don't think so but still. Nothing else really new. We signed Jaiden up for swimming lessons and it was on Saturday and he loved him. Other than that I am just at work. Oh on Saturday we went to dinner (sushi) with Jason and his cousin Steve and his girlfriend Angel and some others too, it was fun!

Weekends stinks

So this weekend was not so good. I went to pick up Jaiden from daycare and he has a temp so she said she had given him some tynenol and I took him home. I checked his temp when we got home and it was 103. Dr's say if it is over 101 to take to the er or urgent care. So we headed to urgent care. Of course when we got there it was lower because of the tynenol and they saw him. Not reason so it other than the dr said he has "hand-foot and mouth disease" According to WebMD this is common in little kids and it is not serious. Kids get blister like bumps on hands, feet and mouth (hence the name) with a high fever...I did not see blisters until late Saturday but it is true so sad. So he has not felt to good and just not been normal.

Then Saturday was John's 2nd birthday party and I got sunburned that SUCKED! Then after his party we went to dinner and while we were at dinner someone did a hit and run at our house and hit our mailbox (see photo) and took out a ton of stuff in the front yard and sent the mailbox flying (10 feet) into the bumper of Dusty's BRAND NEW car. Now we need a new one. And do you think the people stayed to see if everything was ok. NOPE! So my parents called police and they took a report but I am sure they won't find the people. It just sucks.

Jaiden is at daycare today and Dusty and I are at work. I can not wait to get home and just hold him, since he is sick and go to sleep is he will let me. Since he is sick he does not sleep well or play well just wants to be held. Ok thats all for now. I am sure I will have more later!

Ohhhh Fun! I know it is far away (Oct 1st) but we made plans to go to Vegas for my birthday and we are going to stay at Planet Hollywood. I am so excited I can not wait! And Dusty's is coming soon (may 3rd) and we are going to take Jaiden to Disneyland for the first time since Dusty can get in for free on his birthday so we will only have to pay for myself, which will be nice. Anyways I can not wait to Vegas - we went to the casino there last time and it is so nice I can not wait to stay!

Well a lot has been going on since I lasted blogged. I know I know I need to keep up but here it goes. Jaiden is walking fun time now, not jsut part of the way. It is so cool. Rick, my stepdad, had a heart attack. I know I know he alreadh had one in 1999 and now another one, and he had to have a 4 way bypass on Thursday it sure has been scary and a lot of things have to change now for him and my mom but I know the Lord doesn't give you more than you can handle. I am still working in Riverside for Pouk - it sure has slowed down a lot because we lost our SCE contract but we are making it. Dusty is still with SCE and now he is doing upgrade for an FSR which is what he did used to do. We are just loving life as parents, Jaiden amazes us each day with what he says and does. Oh that reminds me, last night I said "damn cup" and Jaiden said "damn" clear as anything I wanted to cry I could not believe it, I guess we really have to watch what we say now. People really say your life changes when you become a parent and it really is true, no one can understand until it happens. Well I am going to bed now!

A Long Time...

We are both still working and just loving spending time with Jaiden. On a good note my Nana had breast cancer and they removed it this past Friday and she is doing well so I am happy about that. Well tonight my DAD is in town so we had dinner with him and Jaiden was so excited to see him, oh and did he have fun making a mess - which I was happy I did not have to clean up - sad I know but so true!

Also Jaiden had his Dr appointment yesterday and Dr Smith said we do NOT need tubes for his ears as of right now!! I am so happy I can not stand it.

Well tonight we went to take something back to Best Buy and then we went to Quizno's and I know it does not seem like a big deal but Jaiden got his own cheesey toasty cheese sandwich which was like a 4 inch sandwich and he ate the whole thing and some of my chicken and also some of Dusty's roast beef on his sandwich. It just means that he is totally growing up and getting big!

Yes, today January 20th 2009...The United States of America has a new president. Now I know not everyone is very happy about this and I understand that but just like Obama has always said since the beginning "YES WE CAN" Yes we can change things and the things that we can change are this nation and this economy and the way people think of the government. I know this may upset some people but this is my blog and I can say what I want. Of course I know I might not feel this way had McCain won and today was all about him, but I would have come together as a nation and stood behind our new leader and supported him. I just feel that now the American people spoke and voted in November and this is for the best. Things we change and remember YES WE CAN. I went as far as to buy Jaiden, yes my one year old son, a onesie that says YES WE CAN with Obama's picture on it. I understand he is not old enough to decide yet and will I love him if he grow up to be a Republican yes I will...Everyone makes their own choices. My parents are republican and I am a PROUD democratic. It is ok that is what makes the United States a free place to live and a free place to be. I just wish that people would not look down on me because I am a PROUD DEMO and that I am so happy that now we have the person in office that I voted for! Four years ago that was not the case, I voted for John Kerry when we lived in Oregon and I can still remember to this day watching his concession speech online (I missed it live, I was in school) and crying my eyes out, that the first election I could vote in did not go the way I wanted it. I understand people don't like him, it might be his skin color, it might be his class. I am not sure but now people is the time to get behind him and support what he has to say and what he is trying to do for this country that we call HOME! I am sorry if this upsets anyone.

Play-Dates

Jaiden and Caitlyn had their first play date today. Brianne and I always call Jaiden and Caitlyn boyfriend and girlfriend but other than when they were a lot younger we never really have had them hangout so tonight Jaiden and I went over for pizza and to just hangout and of course they played and just loved it. It is so nice that Jaiden has someone so close to his age that he can play with and hang out with. And of course it is always nice to hang out with such close friends! It seems that Brianne and I have a lot on common the more and more we talk the past days and weeks. I am so glad that God has blessed me with such and easy baby and such great friends.

Truck Accident

Yes I got in ANOTHER truck accident on Monday at work. I left work around 1130am to go and get something to eat at Farmer Boys which is about 5 mins from the office, well I got hit in the parking lot and the guy that hit was in a work truck and he refused to give me his info so I called the cops and of course the came and took our info and statements and that was it....I was driving Dustys truck because my Jeep has so many miles on it already so of course his whole driver side rear is smashed in and we need a new tail light but other than that no one was hurt and we are all ok.

Sushi with my Husband

Tonight I didn't go to the gym ... bad I know but Dusty and I wanted to go out to dinner, so we did. We went to Niko Niko in Redlands where we love to get Sushi. So we asked my mom if she could keep Jaiden and she of course said yes and we headed out. So we enjoyed the time alone and of all places guess where we ended up? At Babies R Us and Toy R Us. I know we can not go anywhere with out thinking of him right? Well we looked at toys and got him so bibs and we headed home, just in time for his bath and bottle to settle in for the night. It was a great night.

Well today was the first day that we decided to give Jaiden milk, real 100% whole milk. I know I know it does not seem like a big deal but this is something that you can not give to a baby until they are a year old so we have been waiting...And on Friday his doctor told me to start him on whole milk so we bought some and tried it today and to my surprise HE LOVED IT...I hate milk myself so I was really hoping that he did like it because I know it is good for him and lets face it, it is a lot cheaper than formula. So tonight is the first night that he had a milk bottle instead of a formula bottle so we will see how the night goes and if he still does sleep all night long. Well I will let you know...

Jaiden's 1 year dr's visit

Jaiden's 1 year old dr visit was today and it all went ok I think. Well lets see...At first he has not gained even 1 whole pound since his 9 month check up which seems weird but he has been sick a lot so Dr Smith is not too worried about it and oh lets talk about his ears well Dr Smith wants to see him back in one month to see if the fuild has gone down on is own and if not then we are headed to an ENT because of all of the ear infections he has had this past year and that will mean surgery to get tubes in his ears. I know it sounds bad but Dusty had them as a little kid and a ton of my friends did too and they are all still ok. He is hoping that within the next month it can heal on his own and Jaiden can not be sick anymore and it will all change so please pray that this is how it all works out and things can get better for him. Also the dr told me that he needs to be off of a bottle by the time he is 15 months old which is only 3 months away and look how fast 12 months went so I have already been starting on this so now we are working overtime to see if he can cut it out and also we can try real milk I mean real honest to God MILK...He said to wait until he is no longer sick which he is taking antibiotics until the 19th so maybe around there but he is on soy formula ao real cows milk might not go so well so we might have to go to soy milk and then to real but he wants me to try real cows milk first because his stomach has grown and changed a lot since he tried cows formula. Of course I know all of these things are just guidelines from a Dr but he would not be telling me these things if they were not for real. Also we got him his shots today and he got MMR which is for measles, mumps and rebuella, he also got chickpox and also last the Hep A shot they were big and thing and he was screaming so bad he was not breathing but he made it and we are still doing fine. Oh Dr Smith told me that sometimes 1 out of 20 kids get a rash all of their bodies from the MMR shot 10 to 20 days after the shot and it is like a small breakout and it is ok there is nothing that you can do for it and it is totally normal. I just hope that does not happen to Jaiden or even Bri's little girl Catie because she just got her MMR shot too...

Wind...Wind...Wind

Wind Wind go away come again another day...Like the rain song but for the wind that is so strong and here today. As I took my lunch from work the truck was just rocking back and forth. That sucks it was so scary in that big thing...And now since it is windy they don't want to take the bed liner out of my truck...The great guys at my work were going too but not now so maybe next week. :(

Belly & Booty

Belly and Booty class tonight was only 45 mins and that was the shortest and longest workout all in one. It really was hard but it was a great work out. Of course no men because they don't need to work on those things but we as women do! It was fun but now I am tired. I am really proud of myself for going two days in a row!! I know it is only two but really two is a lot when I just started so give me a break...Well it seems that so far this 2009 is started off good!! This is my new home away from home...And guess what they have a childcare that is only 2.50 a time, I know it seems like a bit but really there are toys and everything...Bri takes Caitlynn and she has liked it so we shall see....

The Gym

Yes I did it...I joined the gym tonight. FINALLY is all I have to say...I have wanted someone to go with and Brianne has been talking about it so we went tonight and I signed up and we took Palates...It was for sure a work out but I did it...I need to get some sleep and then tomorrow is Belly and Booty! This should be fun...

Oh what a day...Monday...Well today work was just work ya know how that is and then Dusty and I went to dinner and also to go shopping well lets say window shopping. We did not get much other than ok really nothing we needed but I really did think I needed the Taylor Swift CD so I got it with some cash I had and then we headed home. Now I am gonna give Jaiden a bath and put him to bed. Oh yea today we are starting to change from bottle to cup for drinks and formula all but his night time bottle so we will see how this goes...who knows!

Walking ... Jaiden ... Almost

Well Jaiden is almost ready to take a step on his own. He has been walking with a walker on his own forever and even using the furniture to walk but now he is almost ready to let go and do it all by himself. He let go tonight of the table and I thought he was going to do it and then he jsut plopped down on the floor and decided the crawl. Oh well atleast we are trying...

Jaiden's Birthday

Jaiden TURNED ONE...I can not believe that over a year ago now I was in the hospital and having our son...it seem so crazy to me that all of this time has passed. He has grown into such an amazing little man - we love him so much. We had a party for him on the 28th of Dec 2008 and it was so fun we had a ton of people at the house and we watched him open presents and eat his first cake and then it was time for a much needed nap - for Jaiden of course but really I could have used one too! So thanks for everyone that came and it really means a lot to Dusty and I for everyone to take time to see our son and our family and where God is taking us.
